| Welcome to Tom's 14th Annual Toy Party About The tradition of Tom’s Toy Party was officially started in 1997 when Tom Gannon decided to host a small Christmas party for childhood friends and coworkers of Boston. The first party took place at the 12 Bends Tavern in Fields Corner and was a tremendous success - Tom asked his guests to bring at least one toy to be donated to the kids of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester and he collected almost 300 toys! The following year, Mike Joyce asked Tom if he and his friends were going to host the same party because he said, “Your friends give really good toys!” Thus began the annual toy drive which is now known as Tom’s Toy Party. Since its inception, Tom’s Toy Party has provided a holiday gift to nearly all of the 4,000 kids that come through the doors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester each year, many of whom might not otherwise receive one.If you are interested in making a donation to help make the lives of the kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester a little brighter this holiday season, please feel free to make a donation or attend the Toy Party.
